2nd Science Unit of Study: Weather
Fifth grade has introduced a new unit of study in science -- Weather. We are pleased that this unit is modeled after the sixth grade units of study, so students will be familiar with much of the notebook keeping and deep thinking responses that are promoted throughout these units. This is a real plus for our students!

1st Unit of Study in Science: Oceans
Did you know the ocean floor has much of the same features that are found on land? We mapped the floor and found sea mounts, plains, and trenches! Did you know surface currents are caused by the wind and are anywhere from 330 ft. to 650ft. below the ocean surface? We do! We even simulated surface currents in our classroom!
